The Ukrainian American club of Washington was founded in Seattle in 1971. It is the one organization in our area which works to preserve our national heritage and is the link that unites our Ukrainian-American people. The club coordinates with the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and supports our connections with the General Consul of Ukraine in San Francisco as well as with the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.
The Club is active in organizing the various cultural and artistic activities as well as patriotic gatherings. We traditionally celebrate Ukrainian Day of Independence, honor our national bard, Taras Shevchenko as well as support the International Dance. We continue to maintain ties with our Canadian Diaspora as well as other Ethnic Clubs in our state. Our Club also supports the Fund to Endow a Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Washington as well as the development of our dancing group Barvinok and Serpanok choir.
We are open to all religious affiliations. Our focus will always be to bring out what is the best in our Ukrainian community.
