history

Serpanok Choir is the second of two performing arts groups sponsored by the Ukrainian American Club of Washington (The first being Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble).  Making its first appearance at the Ukrainian Independence Day Concert on August 28, 2010 with 16 singers under the direction of Olya Zaynchkovska, Serpanok has emerged as the leading Ukrainian adult choir in the Pacific Northwest.

Ranging in age from 20 to 65, the 30 choristers hail from Marysville to Tacoma, from Seattle to Issaquah.  Their repertoire has become increasingly diverse and sophisticated.

Appearing in stylized Ukrainian embroidered garb, they have entertained audiences at local arts festivals as well as UACW annual events such as the Shevchenko and Independence Day concerts.
